My Skills ("we", "us") operates the developer portfolio platform available at this domain. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect the information you provide when creating an account (name, email, username, password) and the content you publish on your portfolio (bio, skills, projects, experiences, certificates, social links). We also collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited for security and analytics.

2. How we use your information

We use your data to operate the service, authenticate you, display your public portfolio, send transactional emails (password reset, email verification, subscription updates) and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Public portfolio

Anything published on your portfolio page (/portfolio/[username]) is publicly accessible by design. Do not include information you wish to keep private. You can edit or delete portfolio content at any time from your dashboard.

4. Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details on our servers; only the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers necessary to manage your plan.

5. Cookies

We use HTTP-only cookies to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Closing your account or signing out removes the session cookie.

6. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required (e.g. invoicing).

7. Your rights

You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@myskills.app. We respond within 30 days.
