Profolio ("we", "us") operates the developer portfolio platform available at this domain. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect the information you provide when creating an account (name, email, username, password) and the content you publish on your portfolio (bio, skills, projects, experiences, certificates, social links). If you subscribe to a paid plan we also collect your CPF or CNPJ, which Brazilian law requires for issuing a charge — it is sent straight to our payment provider and is not stored on our servers. We also collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited for security and analytics.
2. How we use your information
We use your data to operate the service, authenticate you, display your public portfolio, send transactional emails (password reset, email verification, subscription updates) and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Public portfolio
Anything published on your portfolio page (/portfolio/[username]) is publicly accessible by design. Do not include information you wish to keep private. You can edit or delete portfolio content at any time from your dashboard.
4. Payments
Subscription payments are processed by Asaas (Asaas Gestão Financeira S.A.), a Brazilian payment institution. Your name, email and CPF/CNPJ are shared with Asaas so it can issue the charge. We never see or store card numbers, PIX keys or boleto details — payment happens on Asaas' own page. On our side we keep only the Asaas customer and subscription identifiers needed to manage your plan.
5. Résumé import by artificial intelligence
Résumé import is optional and only happens with your consent, given on the upload screen itself. The PDF is sent to Google Gemini (Google LLC), which acts as our processor, for the sole purpose of extracting the information that fills in your profile. Processing takes place on Google servers outside Brazil. Google does not use the content to train models and keeps temporary logs only to detect abuse and meet legal obligations. Profolio does not store the file: it is discarded once it has been read. Data such as tax ID, phone number, address, date of birth or health information is neither extracted nor kept. You always review the result before anything is saved, and whatever is saved can be edited or deleted like any other profile data. We keep only a record of when you consented and how many imports you made in the month. The AI translation of your profile (Premium) works the same way: only the text of the fields you choose to translate is sent to Google Gemini, under the same terms, and nothing is saved until you review it and save the form.
6. Cookies
We use HTTP-only cookies to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Closing your account or signing out removes the session cookie.
7. Data retention
We keep account data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required (e.g. invoicing).
8. Your rights
You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing suporte@profolio.com.br. We respond within 30 days.
